SGC History

In 1875, Benedictine monks brought the Catholic faith to what was then Indian Territory. They overcame great obstacles and challenges while establishing their monastery, schools and many parishes throughout the Territory. In the face of hardship, they remained focused on the Benedictine practices of attentive listening to God, hospitality and respect for the dignity of all persons. The schools were founded upon the principle of educating the whole person and the integration of the Catholic liberal arts tradition, character formation and training for success in life.

St. Gregory’s University is now a four year University, however in 1981 is was just a two year college. We still didn't have the new gymnasium and fitness center.
