Andy was killed on duty as an Indiana State Trooper on I74 in Decatur County. He was assisting a motorist that had run out of gas and was struck by a semi that did not move over to make the area safe. I want to thank him for his service and dedication to helping others and I think of him all the time. There are a few of us from our class that have gotten into public safety and this type of thing could happen to any of us. Andy paid the ultimate price and is watching over us from above.

Andrew will always be in our hearts. Especially those of us that went to "Little Marion". Good memories. Such a tragic loss.

All my memories of Andy are of him smiling and laughing. He was a great guy! He will be sadly missed.

I still see Andy's beautiful smile when I think of him. I often pull my year books out and when I read Andy's comments, it is easy to see he was genuine and a true gentleman. We shared many conversations about "life" and I will never forget his kindness and genial disposition.

I remember Andy a good bit both from school and at church. His family usually sat close to mine at Mass at St. Joseph Church when we were growing up.

I had known Andy since second grade. He was in Catholic Sunday school with us, I just found our First Communion picture. He was always a great, loyal friend, always there to help you out. Always made me laugh. I know he died doing what he loved. Do you remember, he had the WORST handwriting! And the best laugh. I still miss him.
