Born Oct. 6, 1964, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of George J. and Jane F. (McKinney) Spurling. She married John Piercy on Feb. 18, 1989, and he survives.

Other survivors include her parents of Shelbyville; daughter, Britney S. Piercy of Manilla; son, Ryan Piercy of Greenwood; sister, Kathy M. Gore of Shelbyville; brother, Christopher W. Spurling of Shelbyville; and grandchildren, Kylee Piercy, Emma Piercy and Blake Piercy.

Mrs. Piercy graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1982 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was a homemaker and an active couponer and loved to price match.

Mandy enjoyed crocheting and home decorating and loved animals, especially Ivix, her fennec fox, and Sydnei, her dog.
