Westley Brooks (Class of 1986) died at the age of 18 due to an automobile accident.  Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Westley F. Brooks Sr. of Mablevale; two brothers, Darrell Wayne Brooks of Indianapolis, Indiana and Todd Bruce Brooks of Mablevale; two sisters, Mrs. Kimberly Renee Pickering and Miss Andrea Lee Brooks both of Mablevale; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Brooks of Mablevale.

Westley was born August 18, 1967.  He was riding in a truck on Sawmill Rd. about 12:40am on a Saturday and the driver lost control of the vehicle and the truck went airborne and skidded about 75 feet before striking a tree. Westly was laid to rest at Orion Cemetery, Grant County, Arkansas. His funeral was at North Little Rock Funeral home at 11:00am, Tuesday, January 21, 1986.
