After Hi School, I worked that summer in Hawesville, KY. When Sept rolled around I chose to go to Austin College instead of Viet Nam. I studied in Peru, Spain, bummed around Europe, spent a semester at UT Austin and did manage to graduate from AC in May 1974 with a BA in Spanish. I moved to Austin that summer & lived in little hippie colony at the foot of Mt Bonnell. It was both idyllic and hedonistic. I was the consummate party animal until March 2, 1975. On Texas Independence day I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at Emanuel Pentecostal Church in Sherman. It was the beginning of a new life in Christ.
