Charles Cato

Charlie passed away on June 7, 2014, at Texoma Medical Center.
Charlie was born on January 25, 1954 in Sherman, Texas, the son of Wylie Foster and Annie Elizabeth Long Cato. He was a 1972 graduate of Sherman High School. He was a propane division manager for Douglas Distributing for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.


Charlie is survived by his son, Josh Cato of Pottsboro; daughters, Adrienne Freeman and her husband, Matthew of Pottsboro, Caitlin Elizabeth Cato of Denison and her mother, Jerrie Cato; step-daughters, Ashley Menta of Denison and Amy Shrum and her husband, Chad of Denison; brother, Danny Cato of Pottsboro; sister, Judy Deffibaugh and her husband, Steve of Princeton, Texas and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Charlie is survived by his son, Josh Cato of Pottsboro; daughters, Adrienne Freeman and her husband, Matthew of Pottsboro, Caitlin Elizabeth Cato of Denison and her mother, Jerrie Cato; step-daughters, Ashley Menta of Denison and Amy Shrum and her husband, Chad of Denison; brother, Danny Cato of Pottsboro; sister, Judy Deffibaugh and her husband, Steve of Princeton, Texas and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
