There is a great organization called Soaring Spirits that offers support. Google them! They also have a retreat called Camp Widow which is very helpful.

I particularly enjoyed my participation in the musicals including Unsinkable Molly Brown and Carousel as well as UIL music contests and working with the choir. It is so wonderful to have worked with SHS graduates Kevin Chinn who ended up being on Broadway in A Chorus Line and Larry Harris who is now a professional Opera Singer. I worked as a professional Singer in NYC for a few years and enjoyed that.

I have to say that the reunion in 2002 had a huge impact on me as I decided to get my Masters in Social Work and do a career change after being encouraged by Debbie Glass and realizing I wasn't getting any younger! Here, 10 years later I have my License in Clinical Social Work and I've just opened up a practice practice. It's very exciting to me. SO YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN AT A REUNION!
