Leslie was a friend since Wakefield. I just loved her. I named my second daughter after her, Leslie Allison.

My long-hair buddy and friend since 4th grade. We swam at Fairview pool, laughed through Accelerated classes, kicked up our heels in Drill Team and babysat her little brother together. I'll never forget when she got a hot curler stuck in her hair! We artfully cut it out. I always thought she was so beautiful inside and out. I miss her so much!

Leslie was the kindest, gentlest soul!  We became good friends at Dillingham and wrote thousands of notes back and forth!

I skated with her at the Roller Rink in 6th grade at one of the infamous Roller Rink birthday parties and I remember feeling so embarrassed that my hand was sweating so much.  She was very gracious and sensitive and a lovely kind person.  I wish that they had had the current antidepressant medications available when she had her problems as she might still be alive today.  A very sad and poignant death.  I was stunned when I heard about her death in my late teens/20s as she was a doll.  As the lyrics in Vincent go "this world was never meant for someone as beautiful as you."  LOVE YOU LESLIE!  david

Leslie's father was one of my doctors. Leslie had one of those unforgetable smiles that totally lite up a room! She certainly fought her demons concerning self-worth. Oddly, I and many others never saw those dark thoughts that eventually overcame her. Cindy Herndon called me one cold day while I was attending East Texas and relayed the tragic news. I cried for days and still think of her often. I hope she knows that. One night she and Mark invited me and Bobby Addie over to jump on her trampoline in the backyard. One of my legs fell through one of the springs! Ouch! So much for making a good impression! It was an enjoyable night and I will always reflect on it fondly. Leslie, my friend, you are very much missed. Terri Wright Short
