Marc Anthony ‘Dude’ Martinez

Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many, Marc Anthony Martinez died Friday, May 15, 2015, in Mesa. He was 43.

Marc “Dude” was born Feb. 8, 1972, in Show Low. Being born and raised in the beautiful White Mountains and a graduate of Show Low High School, he could not have been more proud of where he came from.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard (Lisa) Martinez, sister Dori Martinez-Parcell, and nephew Justin Martinez.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; sons Marc Jr, Chase and Chance Callister; parents Fosty and Diane Martinez and Joani Burgess; sisters-in-law Michelle (Matt) Detras, Cher (Brian) Maxwell, Nicole Rogers and Katy Rogers; brothers-in-law Michael and Heston Rogers; nephews and nieces, Kip, Jesse and Jeyda Parcell, Joseph Martinez, Jeffrey and Colby Maxwell, Caden and Tyler Legates, BreAnna, Amber and Justine Martinez and Xellie Rogers.

Dude loved his family and friends with no limitations. His favorite activity throughout his life was facilitating worthwhile get-togethers with everyone. What brought him the most joy was when the guitars were brought out and the music started flowing.

To celebrate his life, family and friends will be having a get together at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the Show Low Elks Lodge, 805 E. Whipple.

All that knew him are welcome to attend. Please feel free to bring some food, your guitar and any stories that you have to the after-party immediately following the services.
