I am shocked and saddened to hear of Brian's passing. Though we spoke sporadically over the last few years, we did reminisce on all the Irish stuff we did back at Northwood, including his raising of the Irish Tri-colors for the school flag pole on St. Patrick's Day of 1976 (Mrs.Ruddle thought it was the Italian Flag but she was from West Virginia). Brian and I also owned season tickets to the Capitals in their first 10 seasons. My heart goes out to Helen and the kids. He will always be remembered fondly in my family.
