Charlie passed over on May 14, 2011. While in the hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, he suffered from complications related to surgery and kidney dialysis. He is survived by his wife, Samia Taweel, and two young sons.
Charlie was sooooo sweet! He used to work as a chef in the deli of my office building, downtown, DC. When I ran into Charlie again after high school - we went to (I think it was) the 15th class reunion together! Awh, I'm gonna miss you Charlie!
Charlie found me on Facebook about a year and a half ago & l got the warmest "Virtual Hug" from him when he corresponded. You are missed, my friend. Sleep well.
I remember my friends and I met up with Charlie a few times at various night clubs. He was a really fun-loving, laid back sort of guy. He reminded me of a big teddy bear. I have no doubt that Charlie will really be missed by all his family and friends!
