Dallas Hansen

Dallas Michael Hansen, 21, Sioux City, died Wednesday, June 17, 1992, of accidental drowning.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St Michael Catholic Church, South Sioux City, with Rev. Jeffrey Zyla, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 3 pm today (Tuesday) at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, South Sioux City. The body will men be taken to the church for visitation until 9 pjn. with a scriptural wake service at 730 pm

Mr. Hansen was born Oct. 2, 1970, at Wayne, Neb., the son of Michael and Ann (Sutherland) Hansen. He moved to Sioux City as a child and graduated from North High School in 1989. He had been a member of the Army Reserves. He was formerly employed at Wells' Dairy in Lei Mars and at the time of his death he was employed as a night stacker at Hy Vee, South Sioux City. He married Beth Ann Holmes Sept 29,1990, at South Sioux City. Mr. Hansen was a member of the McLake Whirlers Square Dance Club.

Survivors indude his wife; his mother and stepfather, Ann and Randy Rahn, of Sioux City; his father and stepmother, Michael and Debra Hansen of Dallas, Tex.; two brothers, Dustin J. Hansen and Byron (B.J.) HetzeL both of Sioux City; grandparents Dorothy and Lowell Hansen of Cherokee; his father and mother-in-law, Frank and MaryBeth Holmes of South Sioux City; two brothers-in-law, Timothy T. Holmes of Sioux City and Erik V. Holmes of Omaha; a sister-in-law, Shelly Holmes of South Sioux City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Candi Rowe wrote: Dallas was always the first to help someone out. In 3rd grade I remember we had moved into a new area of town he walked me all the way home to make sure I made it. He always had a smile on his face. We will miss that smile. Bless his family :)
