Anthony Kane

 

SIOUX CITY | Anthony A. Kane, 41, of Sioux City died Monday, July 2, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Steven Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Tony was born on Aug. 7, 1970, to Alex and Judy (Goodwin) Kane. He grew up in Sioux City and attended North High School.

Tony married Gwendolyn Gray on Dec. 14, 1991, in Sioux City. He was employed at Tyson Foods. He then obtained his CDL and was presently working for Braunger Foods.

Tony was a good athlete. He was creative and a good artist. He wrote a book and had a way of making people laugh. He was very devoted to his daughter, Samantha.

Survivors include Gwendolyn Kane of Sioux City; his significant other, Amber Gregg and her children, Robert Schrunk and Rielly Gregg, all of Sioux City; four children, Samantha Kane of Sioux City, Andy Lemek of Sioux City, Amber Carranza of Phoenix, Ariz., and Keith Carranza of Sioux City; his father and stepmother, Alex and Regina Kane of Texas; his mother and stepfather, Judy and John Cowley of Sioux City; a brother, Doug Kane of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a stepbrother, Jason Cowley of Sioux City; and a granddaughter, Naomi Burgess.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warren and Eulalie Kane; and maternal grandparents, Miriam and Clarence Goodwin.
