Jason Durham - Class Of 1993


SMYRNA - Jason Ronald Durham of Smyrna died Friday, March 15, 2002. He was 26. Mr. Durham was born April 25, 1975, in Dover, son of Ronald A. Durham and Susan Davis Durham of Smyrna.

He was a 1993 graduate of Smyrna High School. Mr. Durham worked as a groomsman for Davis and MacDonalds Stables in Smyrna, grooming standard bred racehorses, and had recently begun jogging them. He loved all animals, especially horses and dogs, and was an avid reader. Mr. Durham was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jeffrey R. Durham, with whom he lived; his maternal grandparents, Medford and Eleanor Davis of Clayton; his paternal grandparents, Hattie and Eugene Robinson of Dover, and Ronald and Barbara Durham Sr. of Centreville, Va.; his stepmother, Sharon Durham of Smyrna; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 22-24 W. Mt. Vernon St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna. Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Asbury United Methodist Church Youth Ministries, PO Box 330, Smyrna, DE 19977, to the Smyrna-Clayton Boys & Girls Club, 240 East Commerce St., Smyrna, DE 19977, or to the Kent County SPCA, PO Box 224, Dover, DE 19903.
