Maryann Albia - Class Of 1975

Mary Anne Albia, age 59, of Clayton, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 6, 2017.

She was born March 23, 1957 in Dover, DE the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna Albia.

She was a graduate of Smyrna High School and The University of Delaware.

Mary was employed at Chase Manhattan Bank for 10 years in the fraud department as a Credit Investigator.

She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. Mary enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show, games shows and working on the newspaper puzzles.

She is survived by her sister, Joanna Albia of Clayton; her brother, Nicholas G. Albia, Jr. (Frances) of Millington, MD; her niece, Stacy N. Nau (Nicholas) of Worton, MD; her nephew, Nicholas G. Albia, III (Ashley) of Church Hill, MD; and three great nieces, Madisenne Nau, Kenleigh Nau and Evelyn Albia. She is also survived by her pride and joy, her cat Molly.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Polycarp Roman Catholic Church located at 135 Ransom Lane in Smyrna. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Dover, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American legion Ambulance Service, 900 Smyrna Clayton Blvd, Smyrna, DE 19977.
