Mark Willey - Class Of 1975

Mark E. Willey, of Smyrna, passed away on Tuesday April 22, 2014 at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. He was 57.

He was born on April 9, 1957, the son of the late Louis Willey Jr. and the late Jean Willey.

Mark was a 1975 graduate of Smyrna High School. In his younger years, he enjoyed motocross. He was an avid photographer and especially liked to take pictures of nature scenes at Woodland Beach. He also enjoyed NASCAR, working on cars, and driving his 1986 Monte Carlo SS. Mark was a devout Christian whose faith never wavered, and his greatest joy was spending time with family.

He had formerly been employed by General Metalcraft, Dover; and by the Delaware State Police as a fingerprint technician.

He is survived by three brothers; Dale, Scott, and Todd; two loving sisters-in-law, Debbi and Lorena; nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Katie, Konnor, and a great-niece, Viviane.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped to make Mark’s life brighter, especially the staff of DHCI, Vitas Hospice, and all the caregivers that came to his home.
