SOMERSET, MA – Susan A. (Mullen) Senechal, 53, of Somerset, died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, the daughter of Richard S. Mullen of Somerset and the late Roberta M. (Borden) Mullen, she was the wife of Paul H. Senechal, with whom she shared an eleven year marriage.

A 1974 graduate of Somerset High School and also from UMASS Dartmouth where she earned her bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mrs. Senechal was a devoted math teacher at Diman Regional Technical Vocation High School for twenty years. She received the Teacher of the Year Award in 2006 and was very active with the Skills USA program at the school.

Susan served as the treasurer of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. While teaching she also was the owner of Diman Girls, a tax preparer business she owned for several years in Somerset. Susan was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church in Somerset. She also was an avid reader and poker player. Mrs. Senechal was very active at one time with the Boy Scout explorers in Fall River and organized many of the trips they had taken over the years. She also loved her animals and the outdoors.
