Rita Capostagno (Terry)

Rita Diane Terry, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at the age of 56 years and nine days.

Rita was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 18, 1957 to Beverly Jean (Hallock) Capostagno and the late Joseph Anthony Capostagno. She was raised in Somerset, Rhode Island, later graduating high school there. Rita went on to earn several hours of college credits at Bristol Community College.

She, later, honorably served her country with the U.S. Army. It was there, that she met her future husband, Richard Charles Terry. On December 17, 1977 they were married in Sullivan, Missouri and to this union two sons were born. She was a woman who was known to laugh a lot, to dance and love life. Rita was also an accomplished crafter and artist. She attended Sullivan Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Terry of Sullivan; two sons, J. Richard Ethan Terry of Sullivan, MO and Carl Beecher Terry and wife, Ashley, of St. Charles, MO; her mother; Beverly Capostagno of Somerset, MA; and one sister, Paula Rezendes and husband, Mark, of Warren, RI; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Grady O’Dell officiating. Interment was in Stanton Cemetery, Stanton, Missouri. Visitation for Mrs. Rita Terry was held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, MO.
