Robert Spicuzzo died on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 63 years old. Mr. Spicuzzo was born in New Brunswick and lived for many years in Franklin Township before moving to North Brunswick 2 years ago. He was a graduate of Franklin Township High School, a member of the Franklin Eagles A.C. and a huge Jets fan. He retired from the Garden State Parkway as a sign fabricator in 2001 after 28 years of employment. Most importantly, he was a loving father and an adoring grandfather.

Mr. Spicuzzo was pre-deceased by his parents, Charles and Catherine Spicuzzo. He is survived by his children, Robert Spicuzzo and his wife Erica of Milltown and Andrea Spicuzzo of South Brunswick and their mother, Karen Spicuzzo. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph and his wife Mary Ann of East Brunswick, Ronald Spicuzzo of Florida, and Charles "Jr." Spicuzzo and his wife Barbara of North Brunswick; his grandson, Robert along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 8:45 AM at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset followed by a 9:30 AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
