Kyle R. Scheuerman

Franklin Township

Kyle Scheuerman passed away on Saturday at the age of twenty four.

Kyle was born in New Brunswick and was a lifelong resident of Franklin Township. He attended Franklin Township Public Schools and graduated from Franklin Township High School in 2009. He was a varsity swimmer and cross country and track athlete. He also joined the JROTC at Franklin High School. He continued his education at Raritan Valley Community College.

Kyle was employed by Advent Design in Bristol, PA as a shipping and receiving clerk. He loved to work out and keep physically fit and was a firefighter at the Millstone Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Kyle was the 2014 recipient of the "Firefighter of the Year" Award. He loved his mustang and Jets Football.

He is pre deceased by his paternal grandfather Colin McDonald and his maternal grandmother Evelyn Guilfoyle.

He is survived by his parents, Bob and Eileen Scheuerman of Franklin Township and his siblings, Ian and Caitlyn Scheuerman. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Irene McDonald and his maternal grandfather James J. Guilfoyle along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visiting will take place on Thursday at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset from 4-8 PM. Services will begin on Friday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM mass at St. Joseph Church in Hillsborough. Committal services will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. There will be a repass after the Closing Prayers at Franklin Memorial.
