Mindy Beth Weinberg, loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away on August 20, 2015, at the age of 57. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Sheila and Alan Weinberg, her caring and compassionate nature was evident early on. She graduated Franklin High School, Somerset, New Jersey in 1976. She was a fine athlete and loved the music of that era. Mindy earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rutgers University, where she fostered her interest in literature, writing and communications. She lived on a Kibbutz in Israel returning to New Jersey in 1980 as a result of her father's passing. She lived in the Princeton, New Jersey area for over 30 years. Mindy worked for Bloomberg LP, Princeton University and most recently, for the University of Pennsylvania as a communications manager.

Mindy spent her best days walking her dogs, taking up to 100 mile bike rides, enjoying a glass of wine, hiking, and being with her daughters and family. She loved spending time in Surf City, Long Beach Island with her daughters, brothers, sisters-in-law, nephews, niece, and friends. She hosted many holiday dinners and was a great cook, emphasizing healthy and hearty Moroccan and Middle Eastern inspired dishes. She took strength from her family and her faith.

She is survived by her beautiful daughters Sarah Faye Van Peenen and Mia Diane Van Peenen, her mother Sheila Weinberg, her brothers Eric and Jay Weinberg, her loving sisters-in-law Diane and Gigi, her five nephews Jake, Arnold, Michael, Noah and Lucas, and her niece Leila. Mindy is and will always be dearly missed by all.

A funeral service was offered at the Beth-Israel Cemetery-Woodbridge Memorial Park on Sunday August 23, 2015. Arrangements were under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
