David Carl Vedra was born on July 28th, 1970 and died on September 27th, 1993. He is greatly missed by those of us who had the privilege of knowing him. We will again be collecting donations for the Somerset Memorial Scholarship Fund in David's name.

Before our 15-year reunion, David's Dad was asking how many people we thought would come and I told him quite a few, but some live too far away. He said, "That's David's problem too. He just lives too far away."His Dad, Dave Vedra, recently passed away and is now with David again.
David - we think of you often and miss you - we'll never forget....

I shared this at our 15 year Reunion. At our 5 year reunion I got a chance to chat with David and we exchanged contact information. We joked that neither of us would stay in touch. It took me a while but I did write him a letter and sent it to his folks (he assured me that they would get it to him) He died before I got a response and I always wondered if he did indeed receive my letter. I went to visit his grave site the next time I was home and ran into David's mom. She told me that when they left for Hawaii after his accident she brought the letter I wrote. She said she was able to read it to him before he passed away. I still get chills when I recall that story. Thank you Lord!I miss him....

I will never forget his sweet smile. And yes, he was the hottest boy at St. Anne's. I will never forget chasing him around the library. Then we all graduated and everyone went their separate ways; then Andrew and John would get us all together again when he was home and I will never forget thinking "Wow, what a man he became!" In every sense of the word. We miss you David.
