Tedra graduated from South Charleston High School, Class of 1989. A true Mountaineer fan, she started her higher education at West Virginia University and later graduated from Webster University with a BS degree in Business Administration. She began her career in the coal industry at 19, working full time at Peabody Energy through her college education in St. Louis. Over the next 25 years she excelled in growth at Magnum, Patriot Coal and most recently LG&E as a fuels administrator in Louisville, KY. 

She was an incredible daughter, sister and fiercely proud aunt to her three nephews and one niece. Her eyes and smile could light up a room and it was infectious. Her life was at its fullest when she traveled with friends and family.
