Richard's wife Rita wrote:  "Sadly, Richard passed away on December 18, 2011, after a two year struggle with ALS.  We are deeply saddened by his loss but also relieved that he doesn't have to suffer anymore."  Rita wishes the class of 1962 a happy reunion.
