Christine and I were lifelong friends from our first meeting in kindergarten at Marengo. Chris and her parents, Rose & Arthur, had just arrived from England and her accent was most unusual to all of us. It took years to understand her father. On many occasions, we would have tea & biscuits with her grandmother after school, and of course learned to brew a most proper cup for afternoon tea. Chris and I had scores of wonderful adventures together and I was so fortunate to have one last visit before her passing. May she rest in everlasting peace.
