David C Stellar

David C. Stellar died peacefully on January 19, 2008 at home in Cardiff by the Sea, CA, surrounded by family and friends. He was 47. David was born in Los Angeles on May 21, 1960. He grew up in South Pasadena and graduated from South Pasadena High School, Class of 1978. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo in 1982. David relocated to the San Diego area where he began a distinguished career as an Institutional Architect, spending the last ten years as an Associate with Austin Veum Robbins Partners. He was involved with many award-winning projects, including the Salvation Army Kroc Community Center, which won an Orchid. His zest for life included global traveling and many outdoor activities: surfing, sailing, fishing, golf, and camping. David is survived by his loving wife Randi and son Alex; mother Theodora 'Teddy' Hopper of Del Mar; brothers John and Stephen of South Pasadena and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Del Mar on Friday, January 25, 2008, at 1:00 p.m
