Phillip Jolley Marrott, loved son, brother, father, cousin, uncle, friend passed away April 11, 2024. He was born December 26, 1960; the last child and fourth son of Vern W. Marrott and Virginia Jolley Marrott. He was raised in Spanish Fork, UT attending schools, including Spanish Fork High School. He was active in HS sports. He grew up on a 35 acre fruit farm at the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon where he learned to enjoy working and recreating outdoors. He loved pets; always a favorite dog or cat. He liked hunting and fishing. He lifted weights and strived to keep his body fit.
Phillip was a happy, joyful personality. He always had a smile. He would reach out an encouraging hand to help others. He liked fixing, creating, and building things. He built a large four season sunroom for his parents. He enjoyed photography, a gift for catching beautiful surroundings and creative people shots. A gift his two daughters inherited and magnified.
He honorably served the Anaheim California Mission, even as an AP. He had an abiding testimony of his Savior Jesus Christ.
He earned an associate degree in computer science working for Utah County tech division. He had several careers over his lifetime.
Phillip is survived by his four children, four grandchildren, three brothers and one sister, many nieces and nephews; children: Amber Dehaas, Porter Marrott, Tanner Marrott, Juliann Marrott; siblings: Lewis and Janet Marrott, Sally Brown, Brent V Marrott, Richard and Christiane Marrott. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services: Saturday, May 11th 2024, to be held at the Cottonwood Creek Stake Center, Union 2nd Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building. Location: 1535 East Creek Road, Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, UT. The same day, one hour prior to service: Visitation 10:00-10:45 a.m. RS room for family and friends. Service in chapel begins at 11:00 a.m.
