Today, March 3rd, is Tyler's birthday. I would like to share something that he wrote over 20 years ago. It is a biography writen as an assignment in Mr. Olsen's english class. His mother gave me permission to record this on the class site. For all those who knew him or didn't know him so well; "if we had only known more about the streangth and character he possesed..."

(written 8/25/1988--"My Life Story")

My name is Tyler Hunter. I'm seventeen, ny birthday is March 3 1971. I've lived in Wisconsin, Wyoming, Colorado, and now in Utah.
I really enjoy running, and both water and snow skiing.I don't go as much as I would like to, but I go enough. For shool activities I like wrestling, but have missed the last year and a half. Playing with cars and the mechanics of them fascinate me. I like country music and the layed back, easy going attitude of it.
The kind of people I like to hang around with are the type, that I feel comfortable around and make me happy to be with them. Ones that care what I'ss be doing and will stop me or try to talk me out of doing something wrong and making a mistake. The type that doesn't care what people think if your talking to the wrong person or does the right thing even though it isn't "cool". People who would want the same thing in me. Those are the friends I call my buddies.
The type of girl that I would like would be alot like my buddies. Girls that don't get mad and are the understanding type. She would need a positive attitude and be a real sweetheart, not like the ones that act different around different people and when their home they hate their family and act like a wench. I like girls with high moral(e) standards, get into church activities, and live the church standards. I would want her to have the same aspect for me, worthy priesthood holder, etc. I like girls who are between 5'7" and 5'9", who care about their bodies and respect them and want to keep up a figure.
For my future plans, after I graduate I will have a while until I'm nineteen so I plan to go to the U.V.C.C. for a semester and continue working. After I'm nineteen I would like to go on a mission, maybe to Italy. When (I) return from there I will either fo back to the U.V.C.C. or to a junior college for my two year degree. When I finish that I plan for B.Y.U. (to) get my masters or doctorite and go into nutrition. I'm not sure in which paticular field because there are so many things you can do with that degree, but I have alot of time to decide.

...Happy birthday, Tyler. Miss you, my friend. Thanks for all the surprises and showing me some very important lessons in life.

sincerely and gratefully,
Heather Wright Wallentine

Tyler and I were pretty good friends. One thing that I can say about him is that he was always up for doing something fun. I will always remember him as a fun loving free spirited person.

Tyler, you will be greatly missed today at our 20 year reunion. But I know that you will be there and have fun with us in spirit! Just want you to know that we had so fun together and I still have the moccaison boots that you traded me so long ago. Don't wear them much nowadays but they always remind me of our friendship. Until we meet again my friend...
