20 years went by so quickly!
After high school graduation, I went to Utah State for four year and had a great time….oh yeah – and got an education while I was there. I took the business route and graduated with a BS in Human Resource Management with minors in Econ and IT. After that cap and gown ceremony, I moved to Boise, ID and worked for a computer manufacturer. While there I went back to school in the evenings and got an MBA from Boise State (home of the ‘smurf turf’).
I lived in Idaho for seven years before my real gypsy phase kicked in. I then accepted a job with Alcoa in Spanish Fork and had the opportunity of working with a few of our classmates there. After 3.5 years, the company transferred me to Florida (loved the winters) where I worked at both the Florida and Georgia plans for 2.5 years. While in Florida I decided to pick up a new hobby and began scuba diving, too much fun. The division of the company I was working for was being sold and I decided that would be a good time to come back to Utah. I was fortunate enough to be hired by ATK (formerly Thiokol) and have been living in the Ogden area for the last 2.5 years.
Moving back was a great thing for me, I met and married Sam Burke. We’ll celebrate our first wedding anniversary this March.
I’m probably out of space by now so I’ll just say I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
