Anybody remember the "criteria for graduation".

I can't remeber what they were but Ms. Needham-Brown kept reminding us the "Criteria for graduation is....." in her rather annoying drawl. (May her soul rest in peace)

Firstly, Ricardo & I go back years at Barracks School aka Spanish Town Primary. We used to sing at school concerts back then. Puberty killed my career but he kept it up. Last chat we had he stated he "buss de place" w/ Smokey Robinson's "Cruising" in karaoke.

I was to be on "Ring Ding" with them but my family did not let me. Annjene Lee was on there as well doing some dances. They performed to Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers To Cross" and danced to "Enjoy Yourself" by The Jacksons. It was great to see your classmates on TV and to remember that they did something of that magnitude.

I have been on TV a few times in the States but nothing pan mi pan de JBC.

Little bit of trivia, Ricardo sang on "Ring Ding." I think he sang "Dance Little Lady Dance" with pencil in place of microphone in hand.

I was not there for the fight but Ricardo in Atlanta the last I checked. Know him from my Barracks School days.

The Mikey Dread concert in Paschal Hall

Michael Campbell aka Mikey Dread aka "The Dread At The Control" was riding the charts circa '78-'79 with the tune "Barber Saloon," "Money & Friend" and others. He performed at a concert in Paschal Hall.

I was not able to attend as it cost money & I was not able to hang out too late after school.

I remember hearing the band reheasing to "Boogie Oogie Oogie." Memba dat?

Remember when Ricardo and Marcia (Bundy) got into a fight during Lunch in the 7th grade.

Ricardo came with a round-the-house left, Marcia ducked and returned a straight right of her own that did connect. Next thing i recall we were picking up Garrick off the class room floor and nursing his busted top lip. I have not seen Ricardo for quite some time now but if and when you do and he has a scar on his top lip, that's where it came from.

Memba When, Mr Baker was leaving(8th grade), and Ricardo Garrick got up and sang "To Sir With Love" and the entire class was crying...and after everything was all said and done Fitzalbert Gordon, who was the tallest and biggest child in the class started this rather loud and painful "cow bawling"...Anyone else "memba dat"?
