Well I bummed around after I was kicked out of UNI for below 2.0 grades...Just wasn't into school then. Moved out to Denver, spent a couple of years in Aspen skiing and throwing pizzas at night until I met a girl from NYC and moved there from living in a tent for a couple of months outside Aspen (what a culture shock). Then became a jeweler and worked in the diamond district in NYC for a few years and then opened my own business at the worst time as gold went from $200/oz to $800/oz in about two months. Needless to say the business dried up for lack of customers at those rates. Then took some courses at Control Data Institute in NYC and found I was good at and liked writing software. Met my future wife Aurea (a brazilian woman) and moved to Boston. There I found out that without a college degree it was almost impossible to get hired in software work so I went back to college in Boston and earned two bachelors, one in physics and one in mathematics. Then I went on to graduate school at Tufts and got a masters in electrical engineering. Worked at a research institution for about 7 years and then started software consulting, which I've been doing ever since.

Took some guitar lessons while living in NYC and really loved it. Have been playing on and off since and still love it. Hope you enjoy the video. I'm just an amateur so don't expect too much.

Update: living the Pura Vida life in Costa Rica for awhile until I set my sites on the next destination.

Even though I only went to Spencer High for my last year of high school, I still have many fond memories and find it infinitely interesting to read the profiles. Loved hanging out with Morgensen, Luken, the Schmid(t)s, Schlichte, parties at Stubs, hanging out at Okoboji etc.
