I love photography...so, I'm usually the one taking the pictures. As a hobby, I take photos on the side that is, when I have time. Jim and I have been married for 31 years. It's been a wonderful journey. He is truly my soul mate. I didn't graduate at Van Buren High but I still remember a lot of the classmates who did graduate. I actually graduated at the Warren County High School and then went on to college and received my degree in Business/Computers. I was born in Spencer and a lot of my family still lives there. My Grandmother, Mary Leola Hopkins surrendered her crown as Ms Senior Van Buren to my Aunt Mary Lou Rigsby this past year at the fair. My Aunt Girlene got first runner up. I'm so proud of my family. My daughter won Fairest of the Fair in Warren County and Jr Ms Warren County in 1998. So I guess the beauty went from Granny and my Aunts to my daughter. :-)

School Story:

My best school memory is singing in Mr Jernigan's class. To be a preacher, he sure was mean..lol I remember thinking Jan Tase was Cher. I still sing Country Roads. I remember Bobby Brock picking on me in class so I turned around and slapped him. Of course, this caught Mr Jernigan's eye so he made us both stand up front and hold hands. Of course, Mr Rusty heated up our backsides after the moment of humilation. My most shocking moment was when Loretta Sullivan stuck me in the thigh with a compass. She was warning me not to look at her boyfriend Gary. I thought, "Who the heck is Gary!?" It's amazing the small things that you remember.
