Robin Gehrking (Fields)

After graduation Robert found his dream job after attending flight attendant school in Iowa. He worked as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines for about 20 years until his unexpected death. Robert used his sense of humor, charm, and comfort with people to become an exceptional flight attendant. He loved the job! He got to travel, meet people from all over the world, and be of assistance to them. Of course the fact that he got to dress sharp and look dapper on the job held appeal as well! Robert became a father young in life, and was awarded the 'classmate with the oldest child' at one of our earlier reunions. He was very proud of his son, Brad, whom he loved very much. His baby sister Luann, that he looked after at home as big brothers do, was also a very special person in his life. He was very attentive to his younger siblings, and a great big brother. Florida held a special place in Robert’s heart. He settled in the Keys in a home with a lovely view of the ocean. When he wasn’t flying the friendly skies he was at home in the Keys with someone special that he shared his life with. Robert passed away at his home about two years ago with what was a heart-related issue. Now he's truly part of the friendly skies and we know Robert is keeping things light-hearted and fun there too!
