According to the 2007 The Seattle Times Companyr, a man found shot to death in his Maple Valley home Sunday night has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner's Office as John Bavendam.

A 61-year-old Maple Valley man has been arrested and is being held at the King County Jail.

The sheriff's office received a 911 call at about 6 p.m. Sunday about a shooting at the house in the 24100 block of Southeast 261st Place. Bavendam, 51, was dead when deputies arrived.
