Patricia Smith 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Springfield on June 3, 2021. 

She was born February 2, 1943 in Springfield, Vermont the daughter of David and Margery (Madden) White. She attended Springfield Schools, and graduated from Springfield High School class of 1961.

Patricia worked as an Income Maintenance Specialist with the State of Vermont’s Department of Social Welfare for over 17 years.

She enjoyed writing short stories and poems, she also enjoyed painting pictures. Patricia was part of Adult Day in Springfield.

She is survived by two sons; David Maynard and Brian Maynard, two daughters; Tracy Loso and Kristen Maynard, two sisters; Dorothy White and Joan Stratton, one brother Brian White. Grandchildren; Katie Rigali, Ryan Tift, Sandra Maynard, Joshua Maynard, and Hannah Maynard, great grandchildren; Hannah Rigali, Lucas Rigali, Landon Rigali, Jenna Rigali, Willi Sjöstedt and Emil Sjöstedt, two nieces; Darcy White Latreniere, and Jessica Stratton, and one nephew Kyle White.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Humane Society 401 Skitchewaug Trail Springfield, Vermont 05156.

Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield is assisting with arrangements.
