Francis Robert "Bob" Rousse SPRINGFIELD — Francis Robert “Bob” Rousse, 75, passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon, April 28, 2019, with his family by his side. He was born May 16, 1943, in Lebanon, NH, the son of Francis Raymond and Raida (Morris) Rousse. 

He lived in Websterville/Barre area as a child, moving to Springfield at age 12. He attended schools in Barre and Springfield, graduating from Springfield High School class of 1962. 

On March 7, 1964, he married Linda Tierney of Woodstock at the North Springfield Baptist Church. 

He was employed with the Bryant Grinder Co. from 1963 to 1964, and as an inspector with the Fellows Gear Shaper Co. from 1964 until his retirement in 2002. After his retirement from Fellows, Bob worked as a parking enforcement officer with Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, for four years, and then as parking enforcement officer with the Town of Springfield four years. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved camping and enjoyed boating and kayaking. He enjoyed traveling around to find antiques and collectibles, sometimes just enjoying a road trip. He enjoyed the old stock car races at Thunder Road in Barre, and the Claremont Speedway in New Hampshire. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons Robert Jay Rousse and wife Susan, Jean Paul Rousse and wife Jennifer; grandchildren Emily Gray and husband Douglas, Kristen, James, Stephen, Sarah, Clayton and Phillip; one sister, Janet Watson, and nephews Stephen, Matthew and Andrew Watson; also by many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents. 

Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield on Monday afternoon, May 6, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Reverend Gerry Piper will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
