Barylski-Moberly, Janet Marie May 4, 1953 - December 24, 2011. Jan Marie Barylski-Moberly passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on December 24, 2011 at her home in Hermosa Beach, CA surrounded by her husband and family members. Jan was born in St. Louis, Mo. the daughter of Eugene and Evelyn (Lyn) Barylski. She received her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia and a Master of Arts degree in Communication from St. Louis University. In St. Louis, Jan worked in marketing and sales for Wang Laboratories and ADP, she relocated to the Los Angeles area where she met and married Tom, her husband of 21 years. Jan continued in marketing and sales of payroll systems at ADP and disaster recovery systems at SunGard Corp. Jan also worked independently as an investor/ owner of a restaurant and several small businesses in CA. Jan was known for her generous, loving, and independent spirit. Her giving to family and friends never ceased, always caring for those around her. She had an impact on everyone she met. She loved family, nature, running, hiking, and traveling. Jan loved all animals and was involved in animal rescue efforts. She always lived life to the fullest. Jan is survived by her husband Tom, parents Gene and Lyn Barylski, brother Tom and (Linda) Barylski, sister Lyn and (Marty) Albers, brother Don Barylski, and brother Dave and (Teresa) Barylski, many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and dear friends. Jan will be profoundly missed by her family and pets Hopper and Scruffy. We love you Jan, your memory will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
