Herman Stanley Cornett, Jr., 37, of Waynesburg, died Saturday, June 7 at his residence.

A native of Danville, he was born July 3, 1970 to Herman S. Cornett, Sr. and Geneva Margaret Price Hundley both of Waynesburg. He was a 1988 graduate of Lincoln County High School, construction worker, and member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Other survivors include two daughters, Marricca and Kimberly Cornett of Stanford; a brother, Wes (Carlee) Cornett of Waynesburg; a sister, Jana (Tim) Noakes of Waynesburg; and four nieces and nephews, Chase Noakes, Madison, Greyson Wray, and Sophie Cornett.

Funeral services were June 10 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Hogue officiating. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Steve and Dwayne Cornett, Doug Waldroup, Chase and Tim Noakes, Greg Stanley, Kevin Cornett, and Dave Hoover.

Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home of Waynesburg was in charge the arrangements.
