I remember Dorothy as being such a nice young lady in high school. We had a couple of classes together and she was always quite friendly and pleasant. My deepest sympathies to her family.

What a beautiful life she had.  Being the wife of a  farmer cannot be deemed easy.  Nature places demands on a farmer (and his wife) that cannot be ignored.  However,  in my opinion, the BENEFITS of being married to a man who grapples with nature, nutures farm animals, bears the ups and downs of market fluxuatioan, (whether it be seeds, fertilizer or the unpredictable rise and fall of  "on the hoof"  livestock) must be plentiful.   Farmers are the backbone of America....and always will be.   I can only be happy that, although she worked hard,  she had such a wonderful marriage and loved her life as the wife of a farmer.  I would have  benefitted greatly had I stayed in the  Streator area and married a farmer.  That is a blessing she had in this life.  I am sure she is blessed in Heaven.

I went to grade school and high school with Dorothy.  We often walked to St. Stephen's school together because I passed her house on my way.  I remember Dorothy as quiet, pleasant, often smiling.  I see, from the obituary, that she was a widow for only three months. What a special bond she and her husband must have had!  Blessings, Dorothy!  Pray for us from your new side of life!
