I am sorry to hear another of our beloved classmates is gone (Jan. '11) and won't be joining us at this year's reunion. Lorraine, you will be missed, and I will send up a special prayer on January 16--we share the same birthdate.
I had a strange relationship with girls when I was at SHS I walked them to class and carried their books but never went any further than that. Not one date during high school. I met Lorraine and fell crazy in love with her. I carried her books everywhere. What I didn't know was she had a boyfriend in another school! She must have liked me too because she broke up with him. I found out about him through the grapevine and that I was going to die.. at that time I thought that would be ok because she was worth it. I don't remember what happened to our relationship but I do remember that I was proud to be with her. I hope she did well and I'm sorry to hear she is gone.
I thought about you on our mutual birthday, but technology precluded me from sending this note--computer was down. I hope there are no computers in the hereafter, wherever I'm headed.
Lorraine...just wondering if there is a celestial bar up there 'cause a good portion of us classmates who may be lucky to join you one day don't want to be thirsty.
