Bill was a pleasant and shy kind of guy.  I did not know him well in High School as we had no classes together. I always knew he was a good person. I got to know him better after he and my dear friend Marcia Thorson were married. They came to Washington, D.C. for him to have an urgent medical check up. They stayed over night with me at my DuPont Circle apartment before returning home. It was then I saw his easy smile for Marcia and the closeness they shared. After our visit, they left carrying their heavy luggage. They walked to the Metro Station taking the train to what was then called Washington National Airport. I worried about them and was crushed to learn of his passing just a few short weeks later. My heart went out to Marcia and their children. He was such a good, kind man.
