30th Reunion for SHS Class of 1985

*We’ve invited the SHS Class of 1986 to join us during our reunion Saturday night!  They will be splitting the cost for the evening.

(Homecoming weekend, Oct. 16 and 17TH)

Final schedule of events for Homecoming activities will be available after our Sept 1^ST Committee Meeting to complete details

2015 Homecoming will feature Alumni Football Teams, State Champion Teams, and Coaches

Friday, Oct. 16

8 to 9 a.m. -- Public schools are open and available for tours with your family.  Please check in the individual school offices upon arrival on a campus for a representative to guide you through any classrooms.  

9 a.m. -- Pep Rally in the Senior High Gym (subject to change to JH gym) with limited space available.

2 p.m. -- Homecoming Coronation in the Senior High Gym (subject to change to JH gym) with limited space available.  (Note:  If any of our 1985 athletes are available for gym activities, especially the captains, Melody would be glad to recognize them while she is speaking.  We just need to let her know before the mike is in-hand.) 

3 p.m. -- Meet (TBA) if you want to ride on the 1985 Float.  Waiting family members are welcome to congregate in front of Fern & Feather.

4 p.m. -- Riding in Downtown Parade 

5 to 7 p.m. -- BBQ Tailgate Party for our 1985 classmates and spouses at the Ricebird Football field. (Henry Griffin is hosting this event and welcomes any assistance.  BBQ with chips and drinks for all classmates is provided in the cost of your weekend event.)

5 to 7 p.m. -- Fish Fry open to the general public is being held in the cafeteria by the Booster Club.  Information will follow on ticket prices, etc. 

6:30 p.m. -- Homecoming Pre-Game Ceremony

7 p.m. -- Stuttgart Ricebirds vs. Riverview Raiders (Searcy) (Seating as a class will be held for collective Alumni in section next to the Reserved section, not in the Reserved section itself.  There will be special recognition of 10-year, 20-year, 25-year, 30-year, etc.)

Saturday, Oct. 17

9 a.m. -- Table set up and decorating with black, burgundy, gray and silver theme.

Doors will be open during decorating.  And the back doors will be open throughout the day while our Catering Crew works to get ready for the event.    

6:30 p.m. – Doors open!  Please come through the front entrance to check in.  No one will be allowed to come in through the rear entrance except those working on the catering team.  NO EXCEPTIONS PLEASE.

7 to 8:30 – Dinner is served (Buffet Line opens) Catered meal by Prince of Pork BBQ  Brisket, Pulled Port, Quartered Chicken, Slaw, Baked Beans, Consume’ Rice, Salad, and Chips.  Buns and BBQ Sauce will also be supplied.   

8:30 p.m. until Midnight- It's mingle, party and dance!

Midnight – 1 a.m. is clean-up.  We have to be out of the facility by 1 a.m.

Grand Prairie Center is a non-smoking facility.

Money to attend the Reunion is due by September 15TH!

T-Shirt Orders may be place through September 24TH!

Tee-shirts are $15.00 and can only be ordered online.  For your convenience you can have the shirt shipped directly to you for an additional fee.  Otherwise, they will be shipped to Lainie Hoskyn and distributed prior to the Homecoming Parade or during tailgating.  If you need to contact Lainie to make pick-up arrangements after they arrive you can text her @ (870) 659-0089.
