Right out of school, I went to work driving an 18 wheeler hauling pulpwood for my father. I enjoyed my self on the weekend during that time with the locals. At some point, I decided I needed to make a change and went to college. I became a paramedic which at the time payed little to nothing. So I joined the Air Force, and became a Medical Administrative Specialist. I spent my active duty time in the great state of Texas which was one big party. I finally got greedy watching all that money crossing the bar and became a bartender. While in the Air Force I worked weekends as a bartender to supplement my partying. At a little bar called, Rascals I met the worst waitress you could imagine so I married her in 1984. From active duty I traded to the Air National Guard at Dobbins AFB in Mariette. Now we are back home driving a truck again and weekend in the guard. During this blur of time we had a beautiful daughter Lindsey Nicole in 1986. After completing my obligation to the guard as a SSgt, it was time for a change again. In the year of 92 I heard about a little company called Anheuser-Busch was hiring so I put in an application/lottery ticket with 32K other people. They pulled 10K out of the 32K and tested them. From the test there were 2 interviews, another test and a final interview. Believe it or not some how the little Sublinga boy from Chattooga County made the top 30 and was hired 19 Oct 92. We went through 3 months of class as they finished building the brewery around us then they called us Brewers. Along the way we had our last child Lexis LeeAnn in 95. Over the last thirty years I have found that you need to stop what your doing every so often an take a moment to look around and cherish the moment because you will never be there again.
