Funeral service for Mr. Demetrius "Meat" White, 26, will be Tuesday, April 15 at 2 p.m. at DeForest Chapel, Talladega College, with Bishop William Morris officiating. Burial will be in Lane Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. White died on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Talladega.
A native of Talladega and graduate of Talladega High School, he attended Troy University and was a member of New Beginning Church.
He is survived by his father, McArthur (Helen) McElderry; stepfather Lawrence Taylor; loving grandmother Nellie B. Garrett; grandfather Arthur (Leola) McElderry; five brothers, Kelvin White, DeAngelo McElderry, General (Monica) McElderry, Frederick McElderry and Brandon Stockdale; seven sisters, Kimberly (Wendell) Gooden, Jennifer (Johnny) Thomas, Brandy Stockdale, Marquita Davis, Tanika Caldwell, Raven Carter and Helen Carter; five uncles, two aunts, special friends Lawrence Barclay, Ronnie Burton, Walter Cross, Robert Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Meat,You will be loved and missed by us all. I can remember all of the good times that we have had. I can't believe that you are actually gone, but the good times that we have shared will never leave my memory. I will remember everything: from school times to hanging out in Sunrise. I love you and miss you dearly Meat, but I know that the Lord is taking good care of you.
