Buddy Keene was born and raised in Tampa, FL. In 1978 he received an Associate Degree in Engineering from Georgia Tech. He next attended the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. In 1983 he purchased a garment manufacturing facility in Costa Rica, Central America, where he lived for 7 years. After selling his business to Van Heusen, he moved to the Dominican Republic where he spent a year as a manufacturing consultant. He then moved to New York to be the Vice President of a well-known jewelry company. He returned to Tampa in 1998.
Buddy Keene's background as a business owner and executive brings a new and innovative approach to the sale of Real Estate. His experience gives him a unique ability in negotiations, meeting deadlines, and communicating.
Buddy Keene currently lives in North Tampa with his wife of 29 years and their 3 children. They have one grandchild. Buddy is president elect of the Tampa Gator Club. He is a member of the Experimental Airplane Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Composite Fabricators Association, and the Greater Tampa Area Board of Realtors. He is a student of Helicopter aerodynamics. He is currently designing and intends to build a two-seat sport copter using kevlar composite construction.
In 2008 Buddy founded Great Blue Real Estate Marketing Systems Inc. A real estate brokerage that based on the premise that the better educated the agent, the more professional the service given to the client. With that in mind, every Great Blue agent must have earned a college degree. Great Blue’s mission is to become both the best respected and the most profitable real estate brokerage in the state of Florida.
