HARRISON, Murray, L., 72 of Ruskin went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2004. He was a native of Florida. He was Baptist by faith and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was co-founder of Temple Heights Christian School where he served as Principal for nearly 20 years, touching hundreds of young lives. Mr. Harrison was a gifted tenor soloist and has blessed thousands with his music and inspiration. He was one of the original members of the Day of Discovery Singers. He was a graduate of Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, Tenn. and the University of South Florida in Tampa, with degrees in Psychology and Music. He will be remembered as a kind and compassionate man who showed extraordinary patience and Christ like qualities that endeared him to every one who had the pleasure of knowing him. His favorite activities included, fishing, fishing, and fishing. He was predeceased by his brother Alex. Survivors include his beloved wife, Florence; two sons, Frank and his wife Joyce, and Ti m of Ruskin; beloved Sister, Laura Hope Johnson and her husband Jay of Lutz; two grandchildren, Lori and Frank II of Tampa, and numerous nieces and nephews. As per Murray's request a Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Gibsonton on Saturday, February 13, 2004 at 11 a.m. The service will be officiated by Rev. Malcolm S. Clements and his dear friend Bill Schmidt. His earthly remains have been cremated and will be scattered in the waters he so loved to fish.
