ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank you to all of you who braved the incredibly rainy day to enjoy a good meal and a fun day of reconnecting with classmates.  Having the boat house saved the day.

As many of you know, there is talk about a 60 year party--no, we don't mean a 60th reunion--we mean a party celebrating all of us turning 60.  Stay tuned for that one.  If it gets off the ground, I suspect we'll get that endeavor started sometime next year.

This website will remain open.  Please send pictures to us at crossland78@gmail.com and we'll put them up on this site (and if it grows too big we will link shutterfly to our website).  Likewise, keep inviting classmates to update their profiles so they come off the lost list.  Don't forget to update your information if you move.  And, of course, let us know if we lose any further classmates.

Well, friends, tomorrow is our day!  We will have a registration table set up so you can collect your name badge and wrist band (wrist band must be worn in order to have lunch).  Food will be served from Noon - 2 PM

The road down to the picnic grove is rutted so please drive slowly.  You car will get dirty :-( .

Please remember a few things:

1.  A cooler with your favorite hard/soft beverage (we will have tea, both sweet and unsweet and water).

2.  Any lawn-type games or balls for volleyball, basketball, tennis.

3.  Sunblock (hoping it doesn't rain) and/or bug spray.

4.  Your favorite tunes that you can bluetooth to our speaker.

5.  Please, no dogs.

We can't wait to see everyone.  We are looking forward to having a great time!

See you tomorrow!

Well, one week from today, we'll all be sitting around enjoying catching up with classmates and having some really good BBQ.  Please don't forget BYOB, mixers, and any lawn games you want to bring as well as sunblock and perhaps some bug repellent (we want to be prepared for just about anything).

To those of you who have  committed and paid, a very big thank you from me and Theresa!!  To Orchid and Ann and Sheila, another big shout out!!!  Without you, this would not be possible.  These things are NEVER easy to plan and we take a big leap of faith.  We are so happy you have decided to come out and have a good time.

Remember, that rain or shine the show will go on.  We have an indoor facility that will provide any needed shelter from sun or rain.  Bring your iphones with your favorite tunes and we'll use some speakers I am bringing and any you want to bring.  We'll call it old school jams.  We had a DJ lined up but we just couldn't pull it off with the diminished attendance, but it's all good!  This is how we roll.

Cannot wait to see all of you.

Best,

Vicky and Theresa

Hello All,

We are at the two week mark and counting!  We have over 40 people confirmed as attending - meaning they have visited our website and have paid for their tickets!  A big thank you!!!  Our final headcount must be given to the caterer on September 16.

We have ample space at Camp Letts for outdoor activities such as basketball, volleyball, lawn darts, croquet, etc., so bring your equipment.  We also have the boathouse, so there is plenty of room inside or out on the deck overlooking the Rhode River to relax.

Take another look at the lost list and reach out to your friends and encourage them to come for a day of catching up.  We'd love to see everyone!

Best,

Vicky and Theresa

We're getting closer!!!  Reunion sign-ups are slower than we would like to see.  Tell EVERYONE to sign up and pay on-line.  Registration closes on the 16th.  Checks will still be accepted.

Hope you're coming!!

Solved - online credit card payments are now working - yeah!

Thank you for your patience!!

For those of you looking to stay near our reunion site in Edgewater, here are some local hotels.  I don't endorse any of them.   All information listed came from their websites.  All boast free wi-fi; some have free breakfast and those that don't say they have an on-site restaurant where you can get breakfast.  Some state they have free parking, so you may want to inquire with the hotels you contact.

Take a few minutes and look at the Lost List if you haven't already.  All of us started there until we updated our profile on this website.  If you see anyone (or lots of anyones) that you  know on this list, ask them to hop on our website and update their profile even if they can't make it to the reunion in September.  In addition to this website, our reunion is posted on classmates.com and alumniclass.com, and we opted in for a feature that allows folks to search for classconnection on Facebook and our website will show up.

Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone!

We are just about 6 weeks from our reunion - time is flying.  Please, please spread the word to everyone who was a classmate.  Even those who you may believe are not interested may at least updated their profile or tell someone else who might want to come.

Our venue allows us use of their boat house and the picnic grove so there should be plenty of room to get in out of the sun should you so desire.  I would suggest throwing a lawn chair or two in the back of your car just in case and don't forget to bring your sunblock and/or bug spray (just so we are prepared).

We really hope you will make this a must-do on your calendar.

Vicky Chandor George and Theresa Moeller Hutchinson

We are 3 weeks away from our reunion.

A few reminders:

1. We WILL NOT be selling tickets at the door.

2. You can pay online or by check -- look at the 40th Reunion Tickets tab for details.

3. We have decided not to raise the price -- tickets remain at $55.00 per person.  Catering will be done by Red, Hot & Blue so prepare to have great food.

4. This is a BYOB event.  Please remember your mixers.

5. Wristbands will be provided at check-in.

6.  Please spread the word - the more the merrier!!!

Hi everyone!

I am in the process of FB messaging EVERYONE I can find with the party details.  This is one of the many steps I have taken to find our classmates.  If you are in email or other electronic contact with classmages, please send a message with our website details so they can update their profiles and come off the lost list and even pay for tickets if they want to come to the picnic on the 23rd of THIS MONTH (can you believe it??).

Remember, NO TICKETS AT THE DOOR.

Thanks for spreading the word.  Can't wait to see everyone!

Vicky

If you would like to share photos from past reunions, we would love to add them to our website!  It's easy to do. Just send your photos in .jpg or .png format to crossland78@gmail.com and we will upload them to our site.

And, because our memories may not be as clear as yours, please indicate the year of the reunion (i.e., 10th reunion, 20th reunion, 30th reunion).

Thanks as always!

Vicky and Theresa

Welcome to what started as our 40th Reunion Home Page!  Now, it will be a place to communicate and find out other events for our class, so please keep your contact information updated here and encourage other class members with an interest in staying connected to do the same.

If this is your first visit to our website, please take a moment and click on "First Time Visitors" in the top ribbon for information about the website.

If we didn't see you at our 40th, we hope to see you at a future event!
