One night around 1994 in Austin, a group of us we're walking to Shanna Compton's house after a party. I tripped over a curb while holding a bottle of red wine. The bottle broke and the glass cut my hand. We all thought it was kind of funny but Michael took it seriously. He checked out the wound and made me put pressure on the cut and hold my hand over my head until we got to Shanna's place. Once there, he found a bandage for me. The rest of us we're all too drunk to really care but he was a real prince.
Mike was a good guy... I remember him back from Travis Middle School. Later on, during our Senior year, we worked together at Service Merchandise.... he could really make you laugh.... I went to his funeral & remember the song they played for him.... Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues"...
