Most of you probably did not know Denny very well as he worked most evenings. Our senior yr, he became a very good friend to me and we often studied together when he finished working. He was a very intelligent & kind young man. I think I was told that he was killed in the Vietnam war. He is missed.

Denny left us too soon. I often pass his grave stone near my parents in Greenlawn. We have not forgotten you, forever young.

Denny and I were always in competition for the best grades at Lincoln Elementary. He always beat me at Miss Barbee's multiplication tables rainbow on the blackboard. To this day I am a multiplication whiz. Thank you Denny. When I had chickenpox in 4th or 5th grade, he came to my home to bring me a Hershey Bar. Someday I am going to "The Wall" and leave him a Hershey Bar.

I did go to the Viet Nam Memorial and saw Denny's name.

We both had Mr. Daniels for French in the 10th grade. We were the only two who signed up for the next year's French class so it was cancelled. He was not afraid of Mr. Daniels and would not allow himself to be passed over as Mr. Daniels did his "next, next, next" thing.

Denny was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. During an extraction mission his helicopter and one other took off together and collided after take off. On a visit to the Vietnam Wall a number of years ago I left one of my military mementos by his name and etched his hame to include with my own military mementos. I had a great time with him during our school days.......one of our military heroes.

I remember Denny's big, amiable smile and quiet laugh.
He really was a good guy. He has been remembered so many times over the years. Cookie

Denny and I were friends for many years. We started in the first grade and went to the twelth. We used to fight a lot in our younger years trying to show which one of us was the strongest but we always made up and remained friends till the end. Miss you buddy.

I always had a great deal of respect for Dennis. I too saw his name on the wall and it brought tears to my eyes. A true friend and missed by many.

Like Sheila - I didn't really get to know Denny until late in our Jr. year. He was a really great guy and we did lose him much too soon (as with many of our other classmates). I have visited the Viet Nam Memorial several times and always find his name. I served as President for the Ladies Auxiliary VFW for the state of Ohio in 2004 - 2005 and my year was dedicated to the veterans in my life - my grandfather, my dad, my husband, - my "adopted" brother and Denny. I actually was in contact for a while with a guy who served with him from California who had great things to say about him - Sue

In the middle of a football game my shoulder pads broke in half and in those days there were no extras. Denny came up to me , took off his jersey and shoulder pads and said ,here wear these their new. I have never forgotten that. He was a true friend and a stand up guy who gave his life for his country. Rest in Peace Friend
