Kathy C. Whisenant, 63 of Athens, Alabama, died on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital.  Born June 1, 1950, in Coffee County, Tennessee and a Member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband: William Whisenant; three daughters: Angela Shirley, Tonya Reed, both of Hazel Green, AL, Jessica Whisenant of Oklahoma City, OK; one son: Timothy Whisenant of Hinton, OK; two sisters: Rose Palmer of Athens, AL, Barbara Frankl of Indiana; three brothers: Gilbert Austell III of Meridianville, AL, Herbert Austell of Athens, AL, Gary Austell of Harvest, AL; and eight grandchildren.  Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. with the services following at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Spry Funeral Home in Athens, AL with Phillips Schrimsher officiating with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
